The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) are proud to announce the official launch of the application round for the nationwide startup challenge, the 2026 『Everyone’s Startup Project』 (Phase 2).
Following Phase 1, Kangwon National University Technology Holdings participates as an official mentor and accelerating institution in Phase 2.
We are dedicated to discovering and providing hands-on incubation to aspiring challengers with distinctive ideas.
This initial application phase requires no complicated paperwork or lengthy business plans.
You can express your innovative ideas and problem-solving solutions with sincerity by simply answering a few key questions.
Feel free to express your ideas using short text, images/drawings, or short-form videos (e.g., YouTube)!
1. Key Highlights of Phase 2
- Round 1 Selection Quota Doubled: 8,000 applicants will be selected nationwide for the General/Tech Track (twice the size of Phase 1's 4,000), significantly widening entry opportunities.
- 70% Non-Metropolitan Quota: 70% (5,600 slots) are allocated to non-metropolitan areas, offering much more favorable competition.
- 80% Quota Reserved for Pre-Entrepreneurs: More than 80% of successful applicants will be allotted to prospective entrepreneurs (pre-startup).
2. Program Overview & Eligibility
- Application Track: General / Tech Track (Creating new value through innovative ideas and technological convergence)
- Application Period: Thursday, August 20, 2026 – Thursday, September 17, 2026, 16:00 KST
- Eligibility: Prospective entrepreneurs (pre-startup) or early-stage entrepreneurs within 7 years of registration who wish to launch a venture in a completely new industry/field (cross-industry startup).
- Key Benefits (Stage-by-Stage):
1) Round 1: KRW 2,000,000 Startup Activity Grant + AI Solution Voucher + 1:1 Mentoring
2) Round 2: Up to KRW 20,000,000 MVP Prototyping Support + Advanced GPU Infrastructure Support
3) Final Stage: KRW 500,000,000 Grand Prize (Total package of up to KRW 1 Billion including follow-up investment opportunities)

2) Click 'Apply (도전하기)' in the top right corner ➡️ Complete identity verification ➡️ Select [General / Tech Track (일반/기술분야)
3) Select your preferred support region ➡️ Choose [Kangwon National University Technology Holdings (강원대학교기술지주회사)] as your mentor institution
4) Fill in the required questions, attach supporting visuals/media (optional), and submit
